Tully and the Missing Socks

Tully woke up on a sunny day. His feet felt cold in a funny way!
Missing socks! Where could they be? 'Maple!' he called. 'Come help me see!'

Maple hopped in with a giggle and grin. 'Two lost socks? Let's look! Let's begin!'
She wore her yellow scarf with pride. 'Family helps,' she said. 'Side by side!'

They searched the shelves, row by row. 'This stone is Sunny! I found it long ago!'
But no socks hid there to see. 'Keep going,' said Maple. 'Just you and me!'

They padded outside by the river's bend. The water sparkled, a bright blue friend.
'Maybe they floated away?' said Tully. 'We'll follow the stream,' said Maple, bold and fully!

They hopped on rocks across the stream. Splish! Splash! It felt like a dream.
Tully stopped. 'A stone! Oh my! It has a stripe! Hello, hi!'

Tully tucked it in his vest. 'Meet Zigzag! He's the very best!'
Maple laughed. 'Now socks, my dear!' 'Yes, yes!' said Tully. 'The socks are near!'

They climbed a hill of soft green moss. The grass felt cool, a fluffy cross.
Then Maple gasped and pointed high. 'Something red! Up in the sky!'

Two socks hung on a low tree branch. The breeze had flung them there by chance!
'Hop on my shoulders!' Tully said. 'Stretch up tall!' Maple stood ahead.

Maple grabbed them, soft and red! 'We did it!' Tully cheered and said.
He wiggled his toes in socks so warm. 'Thank you, Maple, my help through the storm!'

Home they went as the sun sank low. Tully gave Maple a stone to keep, aglow.
They snuggled up, warm toes and hearts. Family and trying make the best parts.
"When family looks together and never gives up, even lost socks can be found."
