Coloring pages

Turn any story into coloring pages

InkStak redraws every picture in a story as black-and-white line art, with that scene’s words underneath, ready to print. The outlines match the illustrations your child already knows, simplified so there is room to color inside the lines. Younger ages get bigger, bolder shapes.

How do I make coloring pages?

  1. Make or open a story. Any story in your library works, or choose the Colouring Book illustration style when you create one and it is line art from the start.
  2. Export it as a coloring book. Choose Colouring Book in the story’s Export menu. The first time, InkStak redraws each picture as an outline, which takes a few minutes; after that it is instant.
  3. Print and color. Each page has the outline and the scene’s words underneath. Your original color pictures don’t change.

What do the pages look like?

  • The same pictures, as outlines. The characters, their poses and the scene match the story’s own illustrations.
  • Room to color. Background detail, texture and shading are dropped, and small shapes are merged into larger areas.
  • Sized to the child. Younger reading ages get bigger, bolder shapes; older ages keep more detail.
  • The story on the page. Each coloring page carries that scene’s text, so it is still a story to read.

Want to sell it? The KDP export has a coloring book option that lays the outlines out at print resolution for your trim size, so the same story can be published as a coloring book on Amazon KDP.
