What is InkStak?
InkStak is a web app for parents, teachers and authors. You pick or create characters, choose a reading level or an age, a genre, an illustration style and a length, and add an idea in a sentence. InkStak writes the story and draws a picture for every scene, usually in about a minute.
The stories star your own characters: a child, a pet, a favorite toy, or someone made up. Each character keeps the same look in every picture and every story, so a family can build a whole series around them.

How does InkStak keep children safe?
- Children have no accounts. Accounts belong to parents and guardians; children don’t sign up, log in or have profiles.
- Every story request is checked. A request with themes unsuitable for children is steered to a safe version or declined, with the reason.
- The Community is moderated. Every story and review shared to the Community is screened before anyone else can see it, and no plot prompts, character details or exact ages are shown publicly.
- Photos aren’t kept. A photo used to create a character is used once to draw a stylized portrait; only the portrait is saved.
What happens to your family’s data?
- InkStak does not sell personal information.
- Story content and character data are not used to train AI models without your explicit consent.
- There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
- Your stories stay in your library until you delete them, and nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.
